My weekly event that I help organize, “Return of the Cypher” is hosting its first annual Halloween Costume MC Battle. All MC’s must have a costume, and must rap as their character. My crew member Orukusaki is the host and the crowd is the judge. My cousin 510 Japanda Thug will take part, so please come help save the pandas.
Alright, who remembers MC Jin? The Chinese American rapper who shocked the nation by guillotining all opponents on the 106 and Park “Freestyle Friday” competitions in the early 2000’s? He would go on to become the first Asian American rapper signed to a major label when he got down with the Ruff Ryders label; his debut album “Rest is History” gained mediocre commercial success with the single “Learn Chinese.” Jin suffered highly publicized battle rap losses to Serius Jones and Iron Solomon in the post- Ruff Ryders, moved to Hong Kong and became a born again Christian, became a highly successful Asian musical act, and moved back to the states in 2012.
Yours truly will be opening for MC Jin in Oakland on 09/19/2014 at Club Zoe in Oakland.
Your truly will be rocking @the Beatlounge in Bangkok on 09/06. The venue is located among the trendy mega-clubs pumping out EDA tunes along the RCA district. The Beatlounge is like a Hip Hop rebel base which will make any true head feel right at home. Veteran DJ Spydamonkee and the Paranormal DJ’s will be in the building.
Osaka Japan Dates have been confirmed. I will be performing these shows without DJ Cloud NI9E. These shows will be the openers for the 2014 Asia Summer Tour.

“Peaceful Warrior” is a brand new banger off of my producer Cloud NI9E’s upcoming solo album; it features Justin Murta repping Vietnam and yours truly. Cloud NI9E brought a soulfully mature instrumental complete with a trumpet and I just had to bring a righteous verse to it. My 16 is a lot more militant RBG than usual and am extremely happy with the finished product.

Yours truly is now a featured artist on Hip Hop 4 Change, an organization dedicated to fighting social inequalities and injustice through the education, empowerment, and implementation of Hip Hop culture. I am honored to be selected alongside artists I look up to such as Equipto, Melina Jones, and the Coup.
Their philosophy is that “the mainstream music industry sells sexism, homophobia, drug abuse, materialism, and gang violence as if these problems represent the cornerstones of hip hop culture. These are actually symptoms of hollow marketing schemes driven by corporate greed and when young people buy into them, it perpetuates another generation of closed minds and more hollow marketing. Hip hop stems from the roots of artistic, creative, and militant demands for justice and the acceptance of diversity in all its forms. In this way, hip hop is what we as individuals want it to be.”
The organization is dedicated to grassroots activism and I have ran into founder Khafre numerous times raising funds for local causes.
