Alrighty then.. next up is Fermented Flows at the Shanty Shack in Santa Cruz. The homie Neema MC came and got me for the “bilingual edition” of the event, so I gotta go sharpen my 日本語 blade.
Yes yes y’all.. 2026 is starting off with a whole lotta momentum and I’m gonna keep it going. On 01/25/26 at 7:00 PM, I will take part in the Freestyle Flow Fest.. my potna Infinite Chi (Check da Rhyme) facilitates this event at the Complex SF, which is a recording studio/ performance studio in San Francisco. From what I’ve seen, Freestyle Flow Fest is like an improvised Hip Hop variety show, where MC’s are challenged to freestyle about random situations, objects, and characters.
Update: now we have the footage of 01/25/26 Freestyle Flow Fest!!
Although I have never considered myself to be a freestyle MC, I wholeheartedly believe that you must be willing to go off the top of your head (improvise) at a drop of a dime, if you claim the title of MC. To me, freestyling is one component of the craft that I’m always willing to practice.. and I have always felt that spitting in a cypher with MC’s I like and respect is more therapeutic than anything the clinical world has to offer..
Alright, this one for the home team!! I will be doing a short set at the Flow Lounge on 01/16/26.. For those of you who don’t know about FL, it’s a weekly Hip Hop event organized by my man Khafre Jay’s NGO Hip Hop for the Future. It goes down at Cali’s Sports Bar on Telegraph Ave. We have top tier cyphers, featured performances, and a Rap writing contest, where $300 is given to the winners. Oh yeah, it’s a FREE event!! Please come through if you’re in the East Bay!!
Yours truly is rocking the Spoken Vibrations event @One Love Cafe in San Bruno. The event serves as a the after party for the Downtown Unity Day and is hosted by my homegirl Versoul.
Yay!! My first show back in CA!! I’ll be rocking the Flow Lounge event @Cali’s Sports Bar on Telegraph Ave Berkeley. If you haven’t been to the weekly Flow Lounge event, you’re missing out.. Freestyle cyphers, a weekly Rap writing contest where the winner gets $200, and hella featured artists. It’s like an underground rebel base for cats that love Hip Hop culture and aren’t satisfied with what the major Rap outlets are disseminating..
Yours truly is performing at the Return of the Emcee event on 06/06/25 (Fri) at Jack London Elbo Room with the folks Know Expressions? and Sonny Souf, headlined by the Bay Area legend D’Wyze from the Bums.
Alright.. I’ll be rocking a block party by Japan Town on 05/24/25.. It should be appropriate for the whole fam, so feel free to bring your children and elders. Peace.
Yours truly will rock a short set on 05/14/25 at the Flow Lounge event at Club Cali on Telegraph Ave, Berkeley.
Every Wednesday, NGO Hip Hop for the Future throws the Flow Lounge party. The event features a Rap writing contest, where MC’s write two 16’s on a specific topic, and the winner is selected by the people. (The topic and instrumentals are chosen beforehand.) If you’re interested in participating, please write HHFTF’s page above).
This is when I won several weeks ago!! The topic for that week was educational reform.. so I had more than enough material to go in..
Shout outs to Khafre Jay, DJ Lex, Do Dat, and Frank Stickems, for providing a space where MC’s can MC!!
